How to Join FANZ

FANZ is the peak body representing the franchising community at government and other industry forums. We pride ourselves on advancing excellence in franchising and our Members upholding a high standard within the industry.

To join FANZ, you must comply with the FANZ Codes & Rules which you can access on the right.

FANZ Membership is optional for Franchises & Franchise-supporting businesses. Please read below for more information on the Annual Subscription Fee if you were to become a FANZ Member.

*Membership Application Fee is $200.00 +GST which covers the cost of independent scrutineering. This is non-refundable.

Franchise Association Codes and Rules

The FANZ Codes & Rules are integral to the application process. All franchise agreements and disclosure documents must meet the FANZ Codes & Rules requirements. Please find FANZ Codes & Rules here.

Disclosure Document 

A Disclosure Document is required with all applications. The purposes of a Disclosure Document are:

  1. To give to a prospective Franchisee or a Franchisee proposing to enter into, renew or extend a franchise agreement, information from the Franchisor to help the Franchisee make a reasonably informed decision about the franchise.
  2. To give a Franchisee the current information from the Franchisor that is material to the running of the franchised business.

A Disclosure Document Template has been provided to help you create a disclosure document if you do not already have one.
Disclosure Document Guide Notes and the Code of Practice will assist you in completing this template.
