I have more than 20 years’ experience within the franchising sector here in New Zealand and Australia. This experience has been through a progression of roles with Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) and has given me a true appreciation and clear understanding of some of the issues faced by Franchisors and Franchisees throughout the country, and across the globe.
Today, as CEO of Aramex New Zealand, I am responsible for a brand that now has over 350 franchisees and staff that operate from 18 locations throughout New Zealand. We also have some 20 New Zealand-based Aramex subsidiary companies that I hold directorships with, so I understand governance and a boards responsibility. Aramex continues to be a substantial contributor to the growth of the freight and logistics industry here in New Zealand, and we will continue to leverage our franchise model to provide for ongoing opportunities to our franchisors and franchisees.
My experience from being part of a company who was an early adaptor of the franchising model here in New Zealand, that then exported to several global markets, allows me to provide a balanced perspective and understanding of franchising in an ever-evolving market place.
I look forward to making a positive contribution to the ongoing development of Franchising in New Zealand over the coming years.
