My first taste of franchising came through my work as an independent Accountant for a chain of franchised restaurants in South Africa.

I have over 20 years’ experience in the franchise industry in New Zealand, including growing the sKids franchise system to 53 franchisees operating at over 180 locations. In addition, I have 10 years International franchising experience through the development and growth of the International brand Sherpa Kids.

I am now the CEO of Kitchen Studio, an iconic New Zealand brand that started franchising in 1983 focusing on providing a full service offering to Kiwi’s looking to replace or upgrade their existing kitchen.

My experience to date has given me an insight into the varied dynamics of franchising including the single site/multi-site franchisee challenge as well as the varied needs of a rapidly growing franchise system.

I am passionate about franchising and I would like to see more NZ franchise systems represented in the FANZ community.
