Dr Callum Floyd is the current Chairman of the Franchise Association of New Zealand (FANZ). He has take an active role on the FANZ board since 2012.
Callum has more than 20 years experience in franchising.
Callum is Managing Director of Franchize Consultants, a multi-award winning New Zealand management consulting company specialising in franchising and licensing. His consulting background includes 15 years with the company – including leading numerous franchise development and performance improvement projects involving many household names.
In terms of education, he developed and led franchise system management education in NZ with the launch of a number of public and in-house franchise executive development programmes. In 2013, he helped lead the development of FANZ’s successful free online training and education programme designed to support better prospective franchisee decision-making.
He has also lectured franchising at the University of Canterbury, Massey University and University of Auckland, and updated the New Zealand Franchisor and Franchisee Guides, and established the Quarterly Franchize Consultants Franchising Confidence Index series.
Prior to Franchize Consultants Callum completed five and half years of post-graduate academic research focusing on franchise system structure and development, culminating in a Master of Commerce (1st Class Honors) and Ph.D.
Meanwhile, he also established two leading online international franchise news and information portals.
His background includes an international perspective with six years working in the UK and Europe.
